The stigma shouldn't be a stigma anymore. Instead they deserve salute!
The only working community, that carries a heart in and out are our 'Nurses' who works in our hospitals. The world has known our Kerala more, with one question our nurses hear and answer, everyday they take care of a new patient. Are you a Malayalee? Then it goes Kerala? India? But when they work in Kerala, I would say with great grief, they are not remembered for the service they give. They are not respected for the work they do. They are not applauded and appreciated or even thanked for the service they render each day. Though it's a big big salute they actually deserve instead.
Today when they proved again, in the right loading and dosing of our vaccines with zero wastage, we should all put our hands and heart together to acknowledge their dedication to a Nation as such, remember them and thank them atleast once.
Let me put it straight again, there is a stigma still in the society about this profession. But without them the world would go stand still. They are as essential as life sustaining elements itself, and let's not suffer a day without them as we suffer for oxygen today. So respect them, love them and thank them for their service.
And Indu Ramachandran , I am so proud of you. Everyone here is so proud of you. We all thank you dear, for not just making us stand tall but for your decision in life to take this profession and serve the humanity. I fondly go through a dozen of cards that your wards gave you as token of love for the care you have given them. Much love my girl❣️.
Let me thank, let me salute every single 'nurse', who carries a heart in and out.
