Are we wrapped and trapped for all thankless job our way? Could these thankless jobs keep all our relationships in good stead?
Wrapped and Trapped
Relationships:
Intimate are they
Affectionate are they
Reciprocate are they
Checkmates are they
To trap and wrap
The men in the boat.
To wrap and trap
All men, who row the same boat
to the thankless journey-
Of no rewards.
But, who wouldn't love
to be wrapped
And who wouldn't,
love to be trapped,
In the wraps of love
As far, they remain indispensable
To tie and wry all relationships.
Caught tight in the midst of comforts
they gave, for my services
And slowly, very slowly I learned
It was a mere trap
and never a wrap of love, offered.
A mouse in a cat's trap, exact.
A trap of marriage!
A trap of motherhood!
A trap of privileges!
A trap of appraisal!
All mere, a trap of wise modus operandi;
But I in hope, the trap of muse
Would bless me further.
In returns of all unpaid works;
That I was blessed at regular intervals.
In different names-
They appeared before me.
In different names-
They approached me.
To satiate their thirst-
Without quenching mine.
And all been just a choice
And never a priority
And every time, it was
All wrap and trap for the
thankless jobs I did.
And I bloated like a balloon
the maxim of air gets filled,
Won't it burst too?
Well, for this unique moment-
I didn't miss it!
To make good photographs
For the walls I built may
wrap and trap my presence.
And may I be related to
my grand grandchildren too
And let them again wrap me
and trap me with the fragrance
of flower beds, bouquets and garlands.
For all thankless job-
That runs all good relationships.
